Presentation Part 2

The Hobbit Theories:
Structuralism of the Film is primarily mirrored off the works of J.R Tolken who’s book is used as the material in which the film is based on and with some minor adjustments to correct any story flaws e.g. Dialog and Themes.

Semiotics are presented from the films use of Dialog which has been adapted into the film script. However the Film has not really changed a significant part of the stories Lore.

To use Auteur theory based off the films narrative would have to take the subjective criticism to the book itself however the book only acting's as what it is cannot be fully broken down by the Auteur theory.

Due to the film heavily basing the itself off the book. The Idea of Feminism is a very vague and very unclear element to examine. However by Modern standards which by the book and some adjustments characters such as Galadriel who is knowledgeable and Tauriel who is a Powerful and Influential character in the movie.

Psychoanalytic elements could be examined upon critical inspection however prior to the story taking place and while the story is taking place each character has story which is usually extracted from any of the characters dialogs and whilst in the process of narrative progress the characters all in some manner develop personality. A prime example of this is Bilbo Baggins who goes from being a timid character to a significantly influential character throughout the story.
